Computer Skills Classes

CONNECTED GENERATIONS

From January 20th 2026, every Tuesday morning from 10.00 - 11.00,  CONNECTED GENERATIONS  will be offering computer skills classes for everyone who needs them.

CONNECTED GENERATIONS, in collaboration with Minko's Tech Workshops CIC offers friendly workshops uniting youth and elders through digital skills.  Sessions cover :

1. Digital Communication Basics Teach seniors how to use WhatsApp, FaceTime, email and texting to stay connected with loved ones and call for help when needed. 

2. Emergency Contact Setup Support older participants to set up ICE contacts, GPS location sharing, and health apps for emergencies. 

3. Tech Buddy System Pair youth and elders to explore technology together, creating new friendships and improving tech confidence. 

4. Games & Social Interaction Use co-op video games for youth and simple memory or puzzle games for elders to promote shared fun. 

5. Digital Memory Sharing Teach seniors how to receive and view photos from family using cloud albums, WhatsApp or Google Photos. 

6. Everyday Tech Skills Empower participants with skills in online shopping, NHS apps, and safe internet use for independence. All sessions are delivered in a relaxed, community-focused environment, promoting digital inclusion, confidence and intergenerational learning.
